Do I need an account?

No. Every feature works signed out. Signing in with Apple is optional and only syncs your progress between your own devices.

Does the app work offline?

Yes. All 2,000 phrases, their meanings, examples and translations are stored in the app, so studying and quizzing work with no connection. Only progress syncing needs the internet.

How do I change the language?

Open Settings from the top bar and choose Language. This changes both the app interface and the language the phrase meanings and examples are shown in.

How do I add the widget?

Touch and hold an empty area of your Home Screen until the icons jiggle, tap the + in the corner, search for Phrases Park, choose a size and tap Add Widget. A new phrase appears each day. Tapping the bookmark on the widget saves that phrase to your Archive without opening the app.

How is my daily phrase chosen?

It is picked from the full library by the date, so everyone sees the same phrase on the same day and it changes at midnight.

How do I reset my study progress?

In Study, finish or leave a category and choose Restart Study Process to go through it again from the beginning.

A translation looks wrong to me.

Please tell us. Email the phrase, the language and what you would expect instead, and we will correct it in the next update.

How do I delete my account and my data?

Email us from the address linked to your account — including an Apple private relay address if you used Hide My Email — and we will delete your account and all of the learning data stored with it within 30 days.

The sound is not working.

Check that Sound Effects is On in Settings, that your device is not in silent mode, and that the volume is up. The read-aloud buttons use your device's built-in speech voices; you can add more under iOS Settings › Accessibility › Spoken Content › Voices.
