Do I need an account?

No. Proverbs Park has no sign-in at all. Every feature is available the moment you open it, and nothing you do is sent anywhere.

Does the app work offline?

Yes, completely. All 200 proverbs, their meanings, example sentences, translations and artwork are stored inside the app. It never needs a connection.

How do I change the language?

Open Settings from the top bar and choose Language. This changes both the app interface and the language the meanings and example sentences are shown in. Eight are available: English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, German, Spanish and Italian.

How do I add the widget?

Touch and hold an empty area of your Home Screen until the icons jiggle, tap the + in the corner, search for Proverbs Park, choose a size and tap Add Widget. Small, Medium and Large are available on iPhone and iPad; Extra Large is iPad only. Tapping the bookmark on the widget saves that proverb to your Archive without opening the app, and Learn opens it in Study.

What do the dots on the widget mean?

They show which day of the week it is. The week starts on whichever day your device's Region setting uses, so the same Thursday reads 5 / 7 in the United States and 4 / 7 in Germany.

How is my daily proverb chosen?

It is picked from the full library by the date, so everyone sees the same proverb on the same day and it changes at midnight in your own time zone.

What is the difference between Everyday and Advanced proverbs?

They are two quiz pools. Everyday covers the proverbs you are most likely to hear in conversation; Advanced covers the less common ones.

How do I reset my study progress?

In Study, finish or leave a category and choose Restart Study Process to go through it again from the beginning.

A translation looks wrong to me.

Please tell us. Email the proverb, the language and what you would expect instead, and we will correct it in the next update.

How do I delete my data?

Delete the app. Everything Proverbs Park stores lives on your device only, so removing the app removes all of it. There is no account for us to delete, because there is no account.

The sound is not working.

Check that your device is not in silent mode and that the volume is up. The read-aloud buttons use your device's built-in speech voices; you can add more under iOS Settings › Accessibility › Spoken Content › Voices.
